I’ve been trying to work on some of the numerous projects that have been set aside for one reason or another. Maybe I’m subconsciously trying to justify my last bead purchase.
One project that had been collecting dust for at least a year, got my devoted attention today. I made a necklace using an old earring from my mother’s collection. The earring is encased in gold metal and has iridescent red rhinestones that remind me of berries.
Although I had beads picked out to coordinate with the earring, I tucked the project away because I wasn’t sure what wire would look best. This afternoon I had an epiphany…I could use copper and apply my favorite heat patina! It makes the perfect compliment to the red, pink and gold colors in this design. I even applied the patina to the old copper chain that’s attached.
Check it out and let me know what you think…
This necklace reflects some of the things I’ve talked about in several blog posts. Giving the earring new life is the topic of “Where can i buy some isotretinoin online only using cash or money orders.” For the two red velvet beads, I used the technique outlined in “buy isotretinoin online with mastercard.” Torch firing the copper resulted in a beautiful patina as discussed in the most recent blog…”how can i buy isotretinoin in uk.”
I think my mother would like the results and I can’t wait to wear it.
